Aluminium product development at Enval
15th March 2017
Enval have made a major step forward in adding value to their process by turning aluminium flakes taken from a waste laminate input into small ingots.
The development uses conventional melting technology used by the aluminium industry but has been adapted to be used at the scale that the Enval plant in Alconbury requires. The team are now refining the melting stage to optimise yield and quality and will soon incorporate the melting stage to the continuous recycling plant, taking advantage of the process temperatures and oxygen-free zone to improve the product even further.
Offering clear economic benefits, this development is a very exciting next stage in the evolution of the Enval process.
